
Nursing Professional for Community Integration

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

- To provide a home-like atmosphere for all people supported, developing their ability to integrate into community life.">
- Ensure the religious needs of people are catered for.">
- Ensure people attend training, work or activation programmes at stipulated times.">
- Supervise and direct staff and students' work.">
- Act as Preceptor to student nurses assigned.">
- Requisition goods in accordance with organisation procedures and policies.">
- Attend to people's needs in each bungalow/residential setting, including household duties.">
- Ensure private monies are carefully accounted for and records kept.">
- Devise and participate in implementation of Personal Lifestyle Plans, Training Programmes and other relevant plans.">
- Maintain records and issue reports as required.">
- Administer medication in accordance with organisation policies and An Bord Altranais guidelines.">
- Report any concerns immediately to Manager or Designate.">
- Be familiar with current developments in services for people with intellectual disabilities and attend meetings/training programmes as required.">
- Participate in staff appraisal system.">
- Ensure familiarity with Health, Safety and Welfare Legislation and existing fire regulations, complying with emergency procedures.">
- CONFIDENTIALITY: Maintain confidentiality of information concerning business in accordance with Policy on Confidentiality, Freedom of Information Act and Data Protection Act.">
Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Recognised qualification in nursing (RNID desirable) and current registration in appropriate division of Register of An Bord Altranais (N.M.B.I.)">
- Full Clean Driving Licence, willing and able to drive vehicles with up to 8 passenger seats and 3,500 kg capacity">
