Job Summary

Maintenance and engineering professionals with experience in managing maintenance teams, preferably in food manufacturing or pharmaceutical environments, are sought for a key role in our site team. Reporting to the Site Operation Manager, this individual will oversee the maintenance and engineering management of the site, ensuring equipment, plant, and property operate efficiently to maximize production output.


Responsibilities
  • Manage reactive & preventive maintenance on-site, overseeing both internal teams, contractors, and 3rd party maintenance.
  • Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with maintenance processes & procedures, maintenance schedules.
  • Deliver on agreed KPIs of plant availability, effectiveness, and costs.

Key performance indicators include:

  • Ensuring that the site manufacturing equipment performance meets or exceeds required KPIs.
  • Providing strategies to ensure technician training is identified and support ongoing skills enhancement of members of the Maintenance team.
  • Ensuring planned preventative maintenance is executed to plan and plans are in place to ensure regulatory conformance always.
  • Managing periodic maintenance systems review, identification, and execution of continuous improvement projects focused on equipment performance.

Other responsibilities include ensuring all maintenance work performed on-site meets Health & Safety and Quality requirements, driving the Maintenance and Reliability initiative, and engaging with stakeholders including Quality and Production teams in the prioritization, development, design, and testing of new or enhanced processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A sound, hands-on, mechanical, and electrical knowledge of equipment, including refrigeration, conveyers, and packaging.
  • Previous experience of managing and leading maintenance teams, ideally in a food manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting/problem-solving skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Flexible and adaptable with a strong work ethic.

The ideal candidate should be able to respond effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and demonstrate strong technical ability and attention to detail to accomplish the job at a high level of achievement. Experience in project management, coaching, and developing a team is also beneficial.
