Job Title:

Process Safety Specialist

A senior professional is required to join our team in the field of process safety. The role will involve working with complex systems and providing technical guidance to less experienced engineers.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in chemical or process engineering, with experience in pressure relief device sizing calculations in pharma/bio-pharma/O&G sectors. A degree from a reputable institution is essential, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities include originating and checking PRD sizing calculations for Pressure Relief Valves, Bursting/Rupture Discs and Conservation & Breather Vents as per International Standards in API. Specification for purchasing PRDs and generating Pressure Relief Philosophy documents are also key aspects of the job.

As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for problem-solving potentially complex process systems for pressure relief solution options. Providing technical guidance and mentoring to less experienced Process Engineers working on PRD calculations is also an important part of this role.

Key Requirements:

  • Degree in Chemical or Process Engineering
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Experience in Pressure Relief Device (PRD) sizing calculations in Pharma / Bio-Pharma / O&G sectors
  • Minimum 15 years' experience in Pharmaceutical / Biopharmaceutical process design
