Compliance Professional Opportunity

  • Seeking an experienced Compliance professional to join our team in a Senior Compliance Officer role.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in data protection and excellent technical knowledge of all things data protection.

About the Role:

  • This role will involve providing accurate and timely data protection advice, assisting in embedding a culture of compliance with relevant legislation into the day-to-day running of the business, and contributing to the development of the relationship with relevant data protection authorities.
  • Key responsibilities include:
    • Providing guidance on the provision of advice within the company covering all relevant legislation and policies related to data protection.
    • Supporting the Head of Data Protection and Data Protection Manager in managing regulatory information requests from relevant data protection authorities.
    • Assisting in the development of a positive relationship with the Data Protection Commission.
    • Providing coaching to members of the Data Protection team on areas of technical knowledge relating to relevant legislation and policies.
    • Contributing to a good working relationship with other compliance teams.
    • Actively participating in projects relating to the introduction of new compliance requirements within the business.

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience as a technical expert in a data protection environment, with working experience of complex queries, data protection assessment, governance, and policy.
  • A relevant qualification in data protection, legal, or compliance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal skills.
  • Well-organized and capable of motivating others towards delivering key compliance objectives across the organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic and logical approach to decision making.
  • Demonstrates a flexible work attitude and an ability to work within strict deadlines.
