Job Title: Research and Development Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Research and Development Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and troubleshooting medical devices throughout the research and product development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and troubleshoot medical devices.
  • Conduct studies to investigate specific life science and engineering challenges related to product design and performance.
  • Support clinical trials and product validation processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Translate research discoveries into marketable medical technologies that improve patient outcomes.
  • Work independently on moderately complex projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, recommending enhancements to existing systems and workflows.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers or colleagues within the R&D team.
  • Communicate project progress and technical findings to internal stakeholders, supporting informed decision-making.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Biomedical, Mechanical, or related field).
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in R&D, product development, or a related engineering role in the medical device industry.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in design verification, validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with internal teams and stakeholders.
