Job Title

As a manager in the Identification Bureau, you will oversee the daily operations of our team, ensuring efficient and accurate identification processes. You will work closely with subordinate supervisors to achieve programmatic and administrative goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organize, supervise, and direct programs related to identification services.
  • Assist management oversight for functions and responsibilities of daily operations.
  • Supervise and manage staff involved in identification services, collaborate with other departments, and state agencies related to public safety and law enforcement.
Required Qualifications:
  • 3 years of full-time experience in classification as an Identification Supervisor or equivalent.
  • Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in criminal justice, business administration, public administration, or a closely related field.
  • 4 years of full-time experience equivalent to Identification Supervisor performing advanced journey-level identification work that included comparison and identification of latent fingerprint material.
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of supervision principles and techniques related to direction, control, evaluation, and training of subordinates.
  • Familiarity with fingerprint identification for both manual and automated fingerprint classification identification.
  • Experience with criminal justice and identification computer systems and programs.
