Leading finance professionals play a crucial role in driving the success of private markets funds. As a Fund Controller – Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fund accounting, finance, and financial reporting.

This is a challenging opportunity to work with a dynamic team, providing accurate financial information for decision-making, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies, and leading operational improvements. You will have the chance to develop your skills in financial analysis, reporting, and risk management.

Your Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review daily financial operations, including investor activity, investment activity, cash management, NAV closing, internal and external reporting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage capital calls and distributions, including carried interest calculations across multiple funds.
  • Coordinate the usage of revolving credit facilities, communicating with lenders, compliance, and quarterly reporting obligations.
  • Monitor fund commitments, quarterly reporting on remaining commitments.
  • Oversight of quarterly management fee calculations and transaction fee allocations.
  • Review transactions in the core accounting platform (Investran), including cash, new investments, follow-on investments, sales, restructurings, investment income, lines of credit, capital calls, distributions, fees and expenses, mark-to-market adjustments, carried interest, other accruals, and investor allocations.
  • Maintain account analyses and reconciliations.
  • Develop and maintain carried interest models, working with IT to enhance.
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual work papers, financial statements, investor allocations, investor capital account statements, and other reports.
  • Lead annual external audits.
  • Interact with internal tax teams and external tax service providers.
  • Support public reporting processes, providing reports, schedules, and other support for quarterly and annual audits.
  • Collaborate with Client Services teams to address investor requests.
  • Drive accounting, reporting, and business process simplification initiatives, improving workflows and efficiency.
About You
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting or related field.
  • PREFERRED: Accounting degree(s) and/or CA/CPA certification.
  • Prior private equity fund controllership, fund administration, or audit experience an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of finance, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
  • Able to network/collaborate across departments (Finance, Operations/Treasury, IT, Business, Tax, and Legal).
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented self-starter.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, manage priorities on time with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with Investran accounting platform advantageous.
  • Innovative mindset and high integrity levels.
