Job Title: Specialist Anaesthetist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced specialist anaesthetist to provide high-quality patient care in our leading healthcare facility.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional anaesthetic services for elective and emergency surgeries, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor junior doctors, nurses, and anaesthesia technicians to maintain high standards of care.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and respond promptly to emergencies, demonstrating excellent crisis management skills.
  • Collaborate with surgical teams and other departments to achieve streamlined patient care processes.
  • Contribute to clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives, driving excellence in patient safety and satisfaction.
  • Pursue professional development opportunities in research, teaching, and continuing education, staying current with industry advancements.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
  • Specialist registration with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
  • Completion of Specialist Training in Anaesthesiology and possession of a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of post-registration experience in Anaesthesiology, with a strong focus on leadership and teamwork.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with a commitment to compassionate, patient-centred care.
  • Familiarity with regional anaesthesia, pain management, and intensive care is highly desirable.
