Junior Lighting Designer Job Opening

We are seeking a talented Junior Lighting Designer to join our team. As a key member of the department, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Sales Team to win projects by providing top-class lighting designs.

The ideal candidate will have good commercial lighting knowledge and experience in working with CAD files to create suitable lighting designs. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lighting designs within agreed timelines and project management tasks as allocated by the Lead Lighting Design Engineer.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Work closely with the Sales Team to deliver lighting design projects.
  2. Review and interpret CAD files to create lighting designs that meet specification requirements.
  3. Deliver lighting designs on time and to a high standard.
  4. Manage lighting design projects from start to finish.
  5. Support the Sales Team in tendering processes.
  6. Analyze competitor products through lighting designs and reports.
  7. Provide technical support as needed.
Requirements:Essential:
  1. 1-3 years of lighting design experience using Relux or Dialux.
  2. Technical graduate (e.g., Engineering/Design) preferred.
  3. Experience working with CAD files to create lighting designs.
  4. Familiarity with lighting-related standards, schemes, and calculations.
  5. Excellent customer service skills.
  6. Results-driven with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
  7. Persistent and diligent with attention to detail.
  8. Assertive and dynamic with a willingness to learn and take on responsibility.
  9. Clear communication skills (written and verbal).
Desirable:
  1. Relevant experience in the lighting industry.
  2. Understanding of building services.
  3. Proven track record of office and industrial lighting design.
  4. Knowledge of BIM preferred.
  5. Computer-aided design software (AUTOCAD, etc.).
