Retail Assistant Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Assistant Manager to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to take their retail career to the next level.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Support store manager in achieving sales and profit targets
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures
  • Manage stock and cash control procedures, investigating and reporting any variances
  • Develop and implement advertising, sales promotion, and display plans
  • Manage controllable costs to maintain profitability
  • Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, and training new employees in conjunction with the HR department
  • Organize special promotions, displays, and events
  • Handle customer queries and complaints according to company policies
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of retail management experience, preferably in an environment with fresh foods
  • Experience using retail IT systems to understand stock and sales trends
  • Strong people skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team
  • Able to work in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic with a high level of confidence
  • A strong work ethic
