Renewable Energy Project Coordinator Role Overview

BayWa r.e. is seeking a skilled and experienced Renewable Energy Project Coordinator to join our team in Ireland.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the project development team with green field development, acquisitions, business case development, and project pipeline delivery.

  • Assist in the planning, management, and delivery of solar and wind portfolios at all stages of development from site evaluation through to pre-construction;
  • Communicate and engage with landowners to agree land terms;
  • Liaise with external consultants – technical and environmental;
  • Engage with technical teams on potential site layouts and initial yield analysis;
  • Coordinate with the wider renewables project team on land, planning, and stakeholder engagement issues;
  • Progress grid applications with in-house technical support and engage with relevant DNOs;
  • Report on project progress, both through written status reports and presentations at project approval meetings;
  • Attend and grow networks at workshops and industry events.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Creative and pragmatic problem-solving skills;
  • Organized and able to manage multiple projects and stakeholders;
  • Ability to translate analysis into practical recommendations;
  • Active listening and interpersonal skills;
  • Structured and logical thinking;
  • A team player, willing to provide support to colleagues;
  • Two to three years' experience working in a similar capacity within the energy or a relatable industry;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken;
  • Commercial insight and researching competencies;
  • Building strong relationships with key teams involved in realizing projects;
  • Clean driving license;
  • In possession of the right to work in EU/Ireland.
