Job Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled financial administrator to join our team in an accountancy practice based in Galway. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in bookkeeping and payroll management, with advanced Excel skills and a proven ability to manage client relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process daily, weekly, and monthly financial transactions for a portfolio of clients across multiple sectors.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and bank reconciliations accurately.
  • Input and manage financial data using accounting software (e.g., Surf, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero).
  • Process payroll for clients using Thesaurus or BrightPay, including high-volume payrolls.
  • Ensure compliance with Revenue requirements and filing deadlines.

Requirements:

  • 3–5 years' experience in a financial administration role within an accountancy or payroll practice.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities and strong understanding of data analysis.
  • Proven ability to manage client relationships and meet deadlines independently.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and revenue compliance.
