Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Elphin location in Co. Roscommon.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain electrical equipment and power distribution throughout various plants.
  • Evaluate all work for safety compliance with OSHE regulations.
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on electrical equipment, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Develop procedures to identify and rectify electrical problems effectively.
  • Install and maintain power controls on plant equipment and machinery.
  • Install and maintain plant and building lighting systems.
  • Conduct wire connections to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
  • Repair electrical faults in quarry plant, machinery, and lorries.
  • Inspect work areas and perform basic mechanical tasks as needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and organize work tasks efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • FETAC Level 6 Electrical Trade Qualification is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in the heavy industrial sector is desired but not essential.
  • The ability to work safely and adhere to high standards in accordance with OSHE regulations.
  • Proficiency in cable installation, glanding, termination, and testing.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to work safely in an active environment.
  • Familiarity with safety procedures, method statements, and risk assessments.
  • Knowledge of mechanical components of pumps and motors is desirable but not essential.
