Electrician Apprentice

This is a unique opportunity to develop your skills in electrical instrumentation and gain valuable experience in various industries. As an Electrical Instrumentation Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced professionals to learn the latest techniques and technologies.

The apprenticeship programme consists of on-the-job training with your employer at various sites across Ireland, as well as off-the-job training in a SOLAS training facility. During this time, you will alternate between working with machines, processes, and control systems, and learning from experienced mentors.

• You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting fire alarms, intruder alarms, lightning protection, and metering systems.
• You will read and interpret electrical and electronic schematics, technical drawings, and diagrams.
• You will safely use a wide range of specialized hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.

In addition to your technical skills, you will also develop strong communication and problem-solving skills, which are essential for success in this role.

• You should have a strong understanding of Mathematics and a background in science (preferred).
• You should be flexible and able to relocate to different site locations during the apprenticeship.
• You should have a positive attitude and be eager to learn.
