Role: NPD Manager
The NPD Manager is responsible for overseeing the New Product Development (NPD) functions of a leading consumer foods business in Ireland. The role involves managing a team of NPD Chefs and Specifications Technologists to develop innovative product ideas from concept to launch.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the Company's NPD Department to develop innovative product ideas.
- Ensuring products meet quality and regulatory standards.
- Analysing market trends and customer needs, and liaising with the Commercial Team.
- Implementing NPD procedures and ensuring their effective implementation across the wider team.
- Managing timelines and budgets.
- Evaluating product performance post-launch.
- Available for assistance with external audits.
Experience and Knowledge:
- 3rd level Degree in a food-related discipline.
- Experience in Product Development within a food manufacturing environment.
- Understanding of food safety, legality, and compliance with EU & UK legislation.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to oversee budget management and drive completion of site and customer KPIs.
This role requires a strong leader who can drive change and innovation within the organisation. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with a passion for driving product development and meeting quality and regulatory standards.
