Job Title: Quality Assurance Technician

We are seeking a proactive and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to lead the development, implementation and monitoring of our Food Safety Management System (FSMS).

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing, implementing and monitoring the FSMS to ensure compliance with legislation, customer standards and industry regulations.
  • Conducting internal audits, driving effective close-outs with management and supervisors.
  • Investigating customer complaints and external non-conformances, identifying root causes and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
  • Analysing Production Quality KPIs, identifying trends and collaborating with production teams to resolve issues and drive improvement.
  • Applying Lean principles in daily problem-solving, root cause analysis and change management initiatives.
  • Proactively identifying hazards, managing risks and implementing continuous improvement measures to safeguard product safety.
  • Leading and delivering cross-functional projects, ensuring timely completion and stakeholder engagement.

Requirements:

  • Minimum recognised 3rd level qualification in a Food Science related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years+ Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience in Food Manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with Quality Systems.
  • Demonstratable comprehensive knowledge of auditing, quality standards and systems, quality management techniques such as HACCP, Process Control and food legislation.
