This role requires an entrepreneurial spirit with a hands-on, pragmatic, and flexible approach as we develop our business area. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong understanding of risk management principles and be able to drive the Risk, Compliance, Audit, and Regulatory programmes within our organization.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and continuously improving the control framework, including supporting the team in the review and creation of policies, processes, and procedures to comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Verifying the Controllership and Operations calendar, ensuring it is up to date and reviewed regularly.
  • Documenting processes and roadmaps for running the Controllership function.
  • Communicating any upcoming activities to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Executing IT Controllership controls and establishing an operating rhythm with Management for monthly reporting.

Additionally, the IT Compliance Officer will oversee artefact management, ensuring that key governance artefacts are correctly stored within the designated repository, maintained accessibility, and rectify any missing or misfiled artefacts to support regulatory compliance and enhance governance.

They will also manage all IT and Security audit engagements, serving as the primary mediator between the Product and Technology teams and Internal Audit during audit engagements. This includes facilitating the collection of relevant documentation, coordinating with key stakeholders for fieldwork, ensuring effective tracking and resolution of audit findings, and verifying that optimum controls are in place and operating effectively.

The IT Compliance Officer will manage the engagement with the Risk Function as SPOC, supporting the completion of annual risk assessments, acting as SME on risk work, chairing and managing the monthly ICT Risk Register meetings, and ensuring actions and approvals are managed to timelines and shared to Risk Function.

Finally, they will manage third-party vendors in the procurement tool, ensuring contracts are validated, PO's and Invoices are processed in a timely manner, approvals are received from relevant stakeholders, and DORA: overseeing remediation activities and ensuring IT controls are updated accordingly.
