Project Director Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Director to lead the upgrade of railway station customer information systems on a 3-year Fixed-Term Contract. This is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to make a lasting impact in Ireland's rail infrastructure.

About the Role
  • 10 years' experience in rail infrastructure, systems, and CIS is essential.
  • A degree-educated and commercially aware individual with expertise in project delivery is required.
Key Requirements
  • A Building, Engineering, Construction, or Project Management degree is necessary.
  • Membership in Engineers Ireland or another relevant professional body is expected.
  • Experience in project engineering in Railways or a similar regulated environment is crucial.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are vital.
  • Relevant general management and project management experience is essential.
  • Demonstrable ability to produce and manage budgets and schedules of similar size projects is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in managing complex, multi-disciplinary projects preferably in a railway environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of Railway Systems, Customer Information Systems is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of railway infrastructure and railway operations is essential.
  • Demonstrable understanding of good Project Management Procedures is necessary.
  • Experience in managing design consultants, contractors is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of contract management and the Public Works Contracts is important.
  • Knowledge of the Construction Regulations is essential.
  • Experience in the implementation of Safety Management Systems is crucial.
