- Ensure technical excellence across rail systems including track, signalling, electrification, and civil works.
- Lead a team of engineers and technical staff, providing mentorship and career development opportunities.
- Build relationships with public and private sector clients, including Irish Rail, NTA, and global stakeholders.
- Support business growth through bid preparation, client engagement, and proposal writing.
- Implement safety and quality standards in line with local and international regulations.
- Develop and implement engineering best practices aligned with industry standards.
- Collaborate with other discipline leads across transportation, environment, and planning departments.
- Postgraduate degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Railway Engineering (or related field).
- Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional accreditation.
- At least 10 years' experience in rail engineering, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- Demonstrated success in delivering major rail infrastructure projects (preferably in Europe or the UK).
- Strong knowledge of railway systems design, construction, and operational integration.
- Experience working within consultancy or client-side organisations.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of sustainability standards in transport infrastructure.
- Ability to work with digital delivery platforms and BIM tools.
