Job Summary

A Senior Rail Infrastructure Configuration Manager is required to support a major national rail infrastructure project focused on enhancing safety and efficiency.

About the Role:

  • This position involves defining, implementing, and maintaining the Configuration Management Plan (CMP) in line with ISO 10007, CENELEC EN 50126/50128/50129, and project-specific requirements.

  • The selected candidate will oversee configuration identification, baseline creation, version control, and configuration audits for all system components.

  • S/he will manage the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and ensure alignment with as-built and as-deployed configurations.

  • Collaboration with engineering, safety, testing, procurement, and operational teams is essential to control and track changes across all system elements.

  • The successful candidate must ensure rigorous change control by managing Change Requests (CRs), Configuration Control Boards (CCBs), and approval workflows.

  • Maintaining traceability from system requirements through design, implementation, testing, and deployment is crucial.

  • The role requires producing regular configuration status accounting reports for internal teams and for submission to stakeholders.

  • Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards and contributing to Safety Case development and updates is also key.

  • The candidate will support internal and external audits related to configuration and change management.

  • This is an exciting opportunity to lead the configuration management effort for integration of Transportation Performance Systems with onboard and trackside equipment.
