The successful candidate will be responsible for maintenance, installation, diagnostics, and repair of service plant and industrial machinery, engines, and hydraulics - electrical and mechanical.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintenance, installation, diagnostics, and repair of service plant and industrial machinery, engines, and hydraulics - electrical and mechanical.
  2. Fitting and assembly of parts and/or metal subassembly to fine tolerances.
  3. Perform preventative maintenance, repair work, overhauls, and installations.
  4. Anticipate, report, or repair any equipment requiring remedial work that may affect the continuity of operations.
  5. Ensure 6 cylinder diesel engine responsible for running the water pumps remains functioning and operating at all times.
  6. Perform ongoing repairs on steel boats and gear.
  7. Perform all required fabrication duties.
  8. Service and maintain all trucks, trailers, and forklifts.
  9. Ability to work on various vehicles and use initiative and adapt easily.
  10. Monitor processes, materials, or surroundings to detect or assess problems.
  11. Make decisions and solve problems by analysing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution.
