Estimating Director Position

Our company is seeking an experienced Estimating Director to lead our estimating function and drive commercial success.

  • Lead the entire estimating department and foster a high-performance culture.
  • Develop and implement strategic estimating plans and robust methodologies to optimize bid accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Oversee the preparation of comprehensive and accurate cost estimates for a diverse portfolio of projects across various sectors.
  • Conduct high-level analysis of complex tender documents, market conditions, and subcontractor/supplier pricing.
  • Present compelling and articulate tender submissions and commercial proposals to clients and internal stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience (typically 10+ years) in a senior estimating or leadership role within the Irish construction or development industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading estimating teams and securing significant projects across multiple sectors.
  • Deep understanding of Irish construction costs, procurement strategies, and standard forms of contract.
  • Exceptional commercial acumen, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills.
  • Outstanding analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
