Job Description

As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting children and young adults with intellectual disabilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and developing support programmes for intervention
  • Creating Positive Behaviour Support Plans to promote proactive strategies and adaptations
  • Providing ongoing monitoring and evaluation to ensure the effectiveness of interventions
  • Delivering training packages to staff and families on various approaches and areas
  • Collaborating with frontline managers, staff teams, and families to translate training into action

Key Requirements Include:

  • Degree in Psychology or a relevant field
  • Minimum one year's experience in a PBS Specialist role within a disability organisation
  • Extensive clinical experience working autonomously
  • Hold a full clean driving license and have access to a car

Desirable qualifications include a Master's Degree in Psychology, Education or equivalent, as well as BCBA certification or equivalent.
