**Junior Civil/Structural Engineer Role**

Our client is seeking a talented Junior Civil/Structural Engineer to join their team in Galway. As a civil and building design consultancy company, they require someone with a minimum of 2 years' experience to work on a diverse range of projects.

**Job Responsibilities:**

  • Draft and create drawings, designs, and diagrams.
  • Develop design concepts and perform structural design calculations.
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects when preparing drawings and designs.
  • Accurately calculate dimensions and allowances.
  • Revisedrawingandlayouts to incorporate changes and improvements.
  • Be willing and responsive to the demands and coordination of other design team members, clients, and contractors.
  • Liaise with external consultants and clients.
  • Periodically visit sites to take measurements.

**Job Specification:**

">
  • Level 8 degree in civil or structural engineering.
  • 2 - 5 years of experience in an engineering design office (or a similar environment).
  • Experience working on a diverse range of projects is highly desirable.
  • Strong working knowledge of current Irish Building Regulations.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of British and Eurocode Design Standards for Concrete, Steel, Masonry, and Timber.
  • Proficient in using AutoCAD/Revit with the capability to prepare detailed technical designs and drawings to a high standard.
  • Essential knowledge of Robot, Staad PRO-QSE, or similar software.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (fluent in English).
  • Self-motivated with keen attention to detail and the ability to research topics thoroughly.
