Manufacturing Operations Director

We are seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Executive to lead our site operations, fostering a culture of excellence and driving performance through strategic leadership, process optimization, and team development.
The ideal candidate will possess strong manufacturing expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to navigate complex relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities:
- Lead daily site operations, overseeing 450 direct and indirect reports, including 5 Business Area Managers, and 8 finished goods production lines in a 24/7 environment.
- Develop and implement manufacturing strategies that incorporate new technologies, enhance processes, and improve manufacturing capabilities while balancing operational efficiency and commitment to safety and quality.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Project Teams, and R&D to deliver strategic and annual operating plans.
- Partner with functional leaders to ensure effective governance, compliance, and cost management across the plant.
- Drive site performance against key KPIs: Safety, Quality, Cost, Delivery, Sustainability, and Employee Engagement.
Requirements:
- A high degree of motivation, strategic vision, and ability to manage people and processes at the highest level.
- A proven track record in leading manufacturing performance in a fast-moving, high-volume FMCG environment with success at both Front Line and Manufacturing Manager level.
- Exceptional management and coaching skills, experience managing diverse teams, and fostering collaboration. Experience in a unionized environment is a plus.
- Deep knowledge of Lean Six Sigma, TPM, 5S, and operational excellence tools, with a passion for driving change and team development.
- Strong analytical skills, capable of interpreting complex data to drive improvements.
- Understanding of manufacturing costs, financial planning, and project management to drive performance and manage costs.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and manage cross-functional relationships.
