Commercial Vehicle Delivery Specialist

HGV Driver Position
Job Role:We are seeking an experienced and skilled HGV driver to join our team. As an HGV driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods from one location to another.
- Drive a Heavy Goods Vehicle from the depot to the loading/unloading point in accordance with the delivery schedule.
- Deliver products to customers' premises on time and in good condition.
- Maintain accurate records of activities in line with legislation and company requirements.
- E nsure all delivery notes are signed upon delivery.
- Comply with road transport regulations.
- Work within the remits of the European Drivers Hours regulations.
- Work within the remits of the Working Time Directive.
- Ensure all loads are strapped down adequately.
- Check tyres, brakes, lights, oil, water and fuel levels and general condition of the vehicle.
- Agree delivery schedule and route with transport management.
- Assist with loading/unloading and ensure that load is evenly distributed and safely secured.
- Maintain records of journey times, mileage and hours worked via Tachograph.
- Undertake minor repairs and notify supervisor of any mechanical faults.
- You must hold a valid Full HGV Class 1 Licence.
- You must have a valid Taco Card.
- You must have a valid CPC Card.
- You must be at least 25 years old.
- You must possess good English verbal and written skills.
- You must have excellent customer service skills.
