Summary of Position The Vehicle Estimator responsibilities include assessing vehicle conditions, determining labour and parts costs, and working closely with technicians, insurance adjusters, and customers to ensure a seamless repair process. Extensive experience with the Audatex estimating system is essential. Familiarity with the Autoflow bodyshop management system is beneficial but not required. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Full clean driving license - Class B Responsibilities Inspect damaged vehicles and identify all necessary repairs. Prepare detailed, accurate repair estimates using estimating software (Audatex). Communicate with customers regarding damage, repair options, and cost. Coordinate with insurance companies to obtain repair approvals. Liaise with parts vendors and technicians to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs. Maintain accurate records of estimates, repair orders, and customer communications. Update customers regularly on repair status and timelines. Ensure all estimates comply with industry and company standards. Conduct post-repair inspections to ensure work quality and completeness. Be familiar with and able to conduct final accounts in a timely manner. Qualifications Technical training or certifications in auto repair or estimating (preferred). 3+ years of experience in vehicle estimating, collision repair, or related fields. Proficiency in estimating software (Audatex, Sage). Strong knowledge of vehicle systems and collision repair techniques. Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Ability to interpret insurance policies and repair guidelines. Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
