Workshop Team Manager Position

We are currently recruiting for a highly skilled individual to fill the role of Workshop Team Manager in our Dublin, Ireland facility.

This is an ideal opportunity for a qualified mechanic or technician with experience managing teams and possessing strong leadership skills to take on a challenging role.

  • The successful candidate will have experience managing a team of commercial vehicle technicians and possess the following skills:
Key Responsibilities

Workshop Management: The Workshop Team Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient flow of vehicles through the workshop, guaranteeing timely completion to manufacturer standards.

Liaising with Service Teams: They will work closely with the Service Team to plan daily workloads and estimate job requirements for customers.

Diagnostics Review: The Workshop Team Manager will provide ongoing review and support of diagnostics in line with manufacturer standards.

Quality Control: Ensuring Quality Control of workshop output is also a key responsibility of this role.

Liaising with Internal Teams: The successful candidate will liaise with service desk teams, warranty teams, and customers on complex technical jobs.

Workshop Utilisation: Managing high workshop utilisation, productivity, and achievement of KPIs is also crucial.

Health and Safety: Maintaining high health and safety standards throughout the workshop is a top priority.

Requirements
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role in a Dealership/Manufacturer/Importer Commercial Vehicle Environment.
  • They must be a qualified HGV Tech with at least 5 years' experience working in a busy workshop.
  • A working knowledge of Commercial Vehicles throughput for service and repair is essential.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and supporting a team of technicians and apprentices is required.
  • Strong organisation and multitasking skills are necessary.
  • A good knowledge of Kerridge/Keyloop is beneficial.
  • Fluent written and spoken English is a must.
