Financial Accountant Role

We are seeking a Financial Accountant to join our growing team at our Head Office in Galway. This role involves analysing financial and non-financial data to identify opportunities for improvement, efficiency gains, and revenue maximisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analysis of complex financial information to inform business decisions and solve problems.
  • Preparation of period-end close activities, including Management accounts and statutory reports for multiple entities.
  • Reconciliation and reporting of key costs, with monthly reviews with budget holders.
  • Assistance in preparing year-end statutory accounts and consolidation reports.
  • Project work focused on automation and process improvement, under the guidance of the Head of Finance or Finance Director.
  • Mentoring junior staff across various sub-departments.
  • Involvement in the external audit of the Financial Statements.
  • Preparation of annual budgets and cash flow forecasts for the group.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years PQE in practice or industry.
  • Strong analytical and data analysis skills.
  • Ability to understand and manage complex intercompany and consolidation accounting processes.
  • Experience in Group/multi-country entities is advantageous.
  • Experience in SAP is advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with non-finance colleagues.
  • High level of commercial awareness and ability to shape the future of the business.
