The Stock Controller & Store Person will be responsible for managing inventory, ensuring smooth operations within the store, and supporting the engineering team with timely access to materials and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in stock control, warehouse management, and hold a valid forklift license.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory Management:
- Monitor and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Conduct regular stock checks and audits to ensure records are accurate.
- Manage stock discrepancies and report findings to management.
- Warehouse Operations:
- Receive and inspect deliveries for accuracy and quality.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of all inventory items.
- Pick, pack, and prepare materials for dispatch to various departments or clients.
- General Duties:
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse/store area.
- Assist with stock ordering and liaise with suppliers as necessary.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to meet project requirements.
Requirements
- Proven experience in stock control, warehouse operations, or a similar role.
- A valid forklift license with practical experience operating forklifts.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel, inventory management software).
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additonal Knowledge
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in warehouse operations.
