Electrical Infrastructure Design Expert

We are seeking an Electrical Infrastructure Design Expert to lead our team in Naas. The successful candidate will provide Civil & Electrical design services to clients within the Electrical & Renewable Engineering industry.

Your role will involve:

  • Leading project design from conception to completion.
  • Collaborating with brilliant engineers and project teams.
  • Liaising with Clients and Local Authorities on the project.

You will be responsible for:

  • Client Facing Position
  • Train and mentor Graduate Design Engineers, overseeing their work, and checking their calculations.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • BSc/MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent with postgraduate design experience with an Engineering consultancy.
  • Building structure design experience using all main materials on a variety of structural projects, but with particular emphasis on Electrical Infrastructure, Transformer bunds, Foundations for Electrical Switchgear, New and Existing Substation Buildings, and Drainage.
  • Highly motivated Engineer with previous consultancy experience.
  • Experience in Eurocodes is essential.
  • Knowledgeable in finite element and frame analysis software for steel and RC frames, flat slabs, etc. (Tekla, SCIA, etc).
  • Proficiency in Civil Design software such as Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroDrainage.
  • Experience mentoring Junior Engineers.
  • Level 8 degree in relevant field (level 9 is advantageous).
  • Chartered status preferred.
  • 6+ years relevant experience.
