Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Design Engineer to lead our team in Johnstown, Naas. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and leading our Civil Engineering team, providing civil & electrical design services to various clients within the Electrical & Renewable Engineering industry.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building structure design, with experience in designing using all main materials on a variety of structural projects, particularly electrical infrastructure, transformer bunds, foundations for electrical switchgear, new and existing substation buildings, and drainage.

They will also have expertise in finite element and frame analysis software, such as Tekla and SCIA, and proficiency in civil design software like Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroDrainage. Additionally, they should have experience mentoring junior engineers and possess chartered status or be working towards it.

The role involves collaborating with brilliant engineers and project teams, liaising with clients and local authorities, and contributing to impactful projects that shape the future. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project design from conception to completion

Requirements:

  • BSc/MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
  • Postgraduate design experience with an engineering consultancy
  • Experience in Eurocodes
  • Knowledgeable in finite element and frame analysis software
  • Proficiency in civil design software
  • Chartered status or working towards it
