Nua Healthcare Services is looking for a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with service users, families, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Live our organization's mission, vision, and values by providing compassionate and person-centered care.
  • Carry out assessments and treatments at clinics, utilizing technical equipment to analyze voice patterns and examine speech production factors.
  • Collaborate with service users, family members, carers, and other staff to set treatment goals and objectives.
  • Introduce and support new ways of working with staff teams to prevent future speech and language difficulties.
  • Deliver training to staff teams, enabling them to support service users' recovery.
  • Refer service users to other specialists when necessary, including multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings.
  • Liaise with other professionals, such as behavior specialists, psychologists, doctors, and ear/nose/throat (ENT) specialists.
  • Maintain detailed clinical notes and draft reports on client symptoms, treatments, and progress.
  • Teach exercises to help eliminate speech problems and attend relevant meetings and case conferences.

Essential Requirements

  • A Level 8 Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent qualification.
  • Registration with CORU as a Speech and Language Therapist.
  • Qualification in FEDS assessment, treatment, and care planning.
