Cost Manager Role Summary

Job Description:
  • The Cost Manager will provide support for day-to-day project delivery, demonstrating the ability to take on tasks under supervision.
  • They will contribute to knowledge capture, sharing, and innovation.
  • Key responsibilities include preparing budget estimates, cost plans, and client reports.
  • Supporting tender evaluation, contractor selection, and contract documentation is also crucial.
  • The Cost Manager will help evaluate risks and values and support contract administration.
  • Preparation of bills of quantities, schedules of rates, or other methods of work evaluation is essential.
  • Delivering all work outputs in an accurate and timely manner to a high standard of quality is vital.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a related field.
  • SCSI registration or eligibility to be registered.
  • Associate membership of RICS or equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Limited technical skills with potential for growth.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with clients and staff.
  • Basic knowledge of industry-standard forms of contract.
  • Developing construction industry technical knowledge.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
