Job Description

The Shift Manager role is a pivotal position within our organization. It requires an individual to lead and manage a team of operators, ensuring production output targets are met while adhering to safety, food safety, quality, and environmental standards.


This role involves working closely with the Production Manager and Site Management team to achieve site targets and meet customer expectations. The Shift Manager will be responsible for promoting a safety culture within the site, monitoring adherence to all EHS standards and procedures, and effectively leading a large team of operators.


Key responsibilities include monitoring shift performance, driving team members to achieve relevant KPIs, and working with Planning to ensure plan fulfillment, throughput, efficiency, quality, cost, and OEE delivery. Additionally, the Shift Manager will be responsible for managing colleague performance, ensuring team development and communication measures are in place, and maintaining accurate training records.


The ideal candidate will possess exceptional technical skills, a strong results orientation, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They will also have a proven ability to effectively use core Continuous Improvement tools and techniques, with a demonstrated CI mindset to seek and implement opportunities to drive improvement of standards and output on site.
