Practice Development Coordinator Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Practice Development Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in supporting the development of midwifery and other students on clinical placement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Director of Midwifery and Nursing to manage operational aspects of the Hospital as required.
  • Lead the Practice Development Unit (PDU) at the Rotunda Hospital, overseeing its roles and functions.

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • A registered Midwife & Nurse or eligibility for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
  • An appropriate healthcare-related Primary Degree.
  • An appropriate Management qualification.
  • Qualification at Master's level in a health/related area.
  • Minimum 7 years post-registration experience including comprehensive midwifery, nursing and managerial experience.
  • Experience working with Student Midwives (BSc & HDip) in clinical practice.

Desirable skills include:

  • Teaching and assessment course experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and organisational skills.
  • Leadership and motivation skills.
  • Conflict resolution skills.
