Job Overview

The System Hardware Validation Engineer plays a key role in Qualcomm's SVE (System Validation Emulation) Team to deliver high-quality functional products. As part of this team, you will collaborate with expert low-level validation engineers to evaluate new hardware IPs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver low-level hardware drivers for Qualcomm Snapdragon Subsystems.
  • Oversee the validation and testing of driver/hardware.
  • Migrate drivers to new platforms as required.
  • Drive innovation in software use cases.
  • Conduct ongoing code refactoring.
  • Develop and execute test plans.
Requirements
  • Experience in low-level software development in C, C++, and Assembly.
  • Strong knowledge of ARM and RISC V processors.
  • Experience in automation and test/integration methodologies.
  • Experience developing validation methodologies and infrastructure solutions.
  • Experience with SCM tools (GIT, Perforce).
  • Experience with defect tracking tools (JIRA).
Preferred Skills
  • Designing and defining new validation strategies as well as detailed test plans.
  • Leading debug efforts for issues found during Pre-silicon and Post-silicon.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 4+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
  • Master's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 3+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
  • PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
