Role Overview

Senior Lead Cloud Engineer Position

We are looking for a talented Senior Lead Cloud Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our cloud engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud infrastructure.

This role requires a strong understanding of cloud computing, networking, and security principles. You will work closely with our development teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services and applications.

You will also have the opportunity to contribute to our cloud operation disciplines and improve processes such as OS lifecycle management, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and certificate management.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Engineering:

  • Design, build, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Azure.
  • Develop infrastructure-as-code (IaC) automation to accelerate development and reduce configuration drift.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services and applications.
  • Familiarity and experience with Terraform Cloud for workspace and state management.
  • Work with product, architecture, and other stakeholders to design cloud technologies that meet business needs.

Networking:

  • Manage firewall technologies like Azure Front Door, Akamai WAF/CDN via automation and possess networking fundamentals.
  • Support cloud network security platforms and collaborate with tool vendors across WAF/CDN (e.g., Akamai, Azure Front Door, etc.), DNS Management, and load balancing.
  • Design, develop, and implement automation workflows for network firewalls to enhance security protocols.
  • Proficient in APIs to construct REST requests to accomplish a task given API documentation.

Security:

  • Develop, implement, and enforce Policy-as-Code (PaC) for cloud environments (Azure, AWS) to configure, detect, remediate, and enforce security standards.
  • Define and implement security policies based upon CIS/NIST industry benchmarks.
  • Support remediation of security vulnerabilities using cloud posture management and ITSM tooling.
