Senior/Principal Hydrology Specialist

To ensure the delivery of hydrology-focused services across various sectors, we require a highly skilled Hydrologist to join our multidisciplinary Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead technical assessments and develop sampling and monitoring programmes for EIAs, environmental licensing, and regulatory compliance.
- Prepare and review Flood Risk Assessments (Stage I-III).
- Design and manage environmental sampling and monitoring programmes, including fieldwork such as groundwater and surface water monitoring.
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to recruitment and team development.
- Represent the business as an expert witness in oral hearings or legal proceedings.
- A degree in Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Geoscience, or a related discipline; postgraduate qualification in Hydrology is desirable.
- At least 4 years' experience in hydrology or related environmental consultancy for Senior role, 8+ years for Principal role.
- Proficient in Flood Risk Assessment methodologies and relevant software.
- Chartered status with a recognised professional body.
- Strong understanding of environmental legislation and industry best practices.
