Warehouse Team Leader

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Team Leader to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, ensuring that receiving, warehousing and distribution operations take place on time and as required.

  • Manage the receipt, storage and dispatch of raw materials and finished goods, ensuring timely and accurate response to material requirements.
  • Supervise the warehouse team, overseeing the efficient flow of both raw materials and finished goods across the plant.
  • Monitor KPIs specific to the warehouse function and implement corrective actions to achieve targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement continuous improvement processes across the warehouse function, including reducing inventory levels and enhancing material flow.
  • Collaborate with the production and material planning functions to ensure accurate stock management reports.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Degree or equivalent in a supply chain related discipline is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in a material management role, ideally in a chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and legislative requirements, including environmental, health and safety, quality and employment law.
  • High level computer proficiency, with significant experience of SAP.
