Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our care team as a Support Assistant. In this role, you will work closely with nursing staff to deliver high-quality person-centred care to residents.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to make a real difference in people's lives. As a Support Assistant, you will provide support and companionship to residents, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity.

You will be responsible for promoting mobility, assisting with personal care, and participating in social activities. You will also play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and contributing to the maintenance of health and safety in the home.

Working as part of a dedicated team, you will develop good relationships with residents, families, and colleagues. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your skills and experience in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting nursing staff in delivering quality person-centred care
  • Promoting mobility and assisting residents with personal care
  • Participating in social activities and developing good relationships with residents and families
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and contributing to health and safety
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role
  • Level 5 qualification (Leaving Certificate/ Leaving Certificate Applied/ Leaving Certificate Vocational Programme)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
