Senior SW Test Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Test Development Specialist to join our team at SiriusXM. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing and executing test procedures to ensure that software programs work as intended.
The ideal candidate will have experience in consumer or automotive software development and a strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles. You will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work independently and in a team environment.
In this role, you will:
- Work closely with software engineers, product managers, requirements managers, and other stakeholders to understand product features and requirements.
- Develop and maintain automated and manual test cases to ensure the quality and stability of software systems.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure the effectiveness and quality of components and systems developed.
- Generate testing completion metrics and analysis, as well as status read-outs to upper management.
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience required. Master's degree desired.
- 3-6+ years of experience in test development and environments.
- Experience in consumer or automotive software development and frameworks.
- Knowledge of OOP concepts and familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and troubleshoot technical issues across the full technology stack.
