This role plays a critical part in developing and implementing effective Human Resources Management functions, ensuring a positive employee relations environment and achieving organisational goals.


Job Description

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of HR & OD to provide comprehensive Human Resources services at both operational and management levels.

The key areas of responsibility include:

  • Change Management: Facilitating organisational change and driving cultural transformation.
  • Recruitment and Retention: Developing and implementing strategies to attract, retain and develop top talent.
  • Workforce Planning: Providing data-driven insights to inform workforce planning and talent acquisition decisions.
  • Training and Development: Designing and delivering training programmes to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
  • Performance Management: Implementing performance management systems to drive individual and team performance.
  • Employee Relations: Managing employee relations issues and providing expert advice on employment law and best practices.
  • HR Administration/HR Metrics: Maintaining accurate HR records and developing metrics to measure HR effectiveness.
  • Policy Development: Developing and implementing HR policies and procedures to support business objectives.

Key Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Third level education in Human Resources and a CIPD qualification
  • Extensive experience in Human Resources Management and significant managerial experience
  • Strong background/experience in Human Resources at management level
  • At least five years relevant work experience, preferably in a large health sector organisation
  • Experience of effective management of a HR Team
  • Possess expert knowledge of employee relation issues, and resolution mechanisms/employment legal framework
  • Public Sector experience at management level
