Afterschool Childcare Kitchen Assistant Role

We are seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Afterschool Childcare Kitchen Assistant in our busy service. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and reheating meals for children, as well as coordinating with the Afterschool Manager and Supervisor to develop the coming week's snack menu.

This is a part-time role, working Monday to Friday from 13:30 to 17:30. We offer a competitive hourly rate of €13.50 per hour, guaranteed minimum 10 hours per week. Additional benefits include paid in-house certified trainings, referral scheme, opportunities for career progression, bike to work scheme and ongoing support from managers and child development specialists.

The ideal candidate should have at least 1-2 years of experience working as a Kitchen Assistant and hold a valid driver's license. Garda vetting and reference checks are also required for child safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and reheat meals for Afterschool attendees in a sanitary and timely manner
  • Coordinate with the Afterschool Manager and Supervisor to develop the coming week's snack menu
  • Maintain a clean working station while adhering to health & safety standards
  • Adhere to all food hygiene & safety standards
  • Completion of HACCP paperwork
  • Awareness of different dietary requirements and allergies that children may have

Your profile:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience working as a Kitchen Assistant
  • Garda vetting and reference checks required for child safety
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Valid driver's license (preferred but not required)
