The RoleAn opportunity has arisen to join our Banking Operations team as an associate.
The team is responsible for the daily banking operations for Davy, including electronic banking, cash management, bank reconciliation, deposit account management & compliance with the Client Asset Requirements (CAR).
- Payment preparation, including payments directly out to clients, pension property related payments, and third-party payments.
- Completion of daily automated EFT and cheque payment reports.
- Managing daily cash deposit files and consulting with the deposit reconciliations team.
- Processing of currency exchange transactions on client accounts.
- Drive change in the team by assisting senior managers in innovation projects and system development.
- Provide support to other members of the team and cover team members as required.
- Operate in line with risk and compliance frameworks, policies, and procedures associated with the role.
Acquire a strong working knowledge of Third-Party Payment rules as set out by compliance and be able to make these on a case-by-case basis.
Communicate with key stakeholders and prioritise urgent tasks as required.
About YouWe are looking for someone with a relevant third-level degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
Banking experience is an advantage but not essential.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
Critical thinking skills, accuracy, and attention to detail are essential.
Experience of successfully working to tight deadlines is necessary.
A positive attitude, strong work ethic, flexible outlook, and a high level of initiative and enthusiasm are expected.
Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required.
