Job Overview
The Facility Manager is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and attractive environment for students, staff, and the public.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise cleaning and maintenance staff to ensure efficient operation of facilities.
- Develop daily cleaning plans for offices and rooms.
- Maintain a safe atmosphere by ensuring proper functioning of exit doors, panic bolts, and other safety equipment.
- Order necessary materials within assigned budget.
- Keep premises, including sidewalks, driveways, and play areas, neat and clean at all times.
- Secure doors and windows, and turn off lights except those left on for security reasons.
- Clean restrooms, drinking fountains, classrooms, and corridors daily according to health department regulations.
- Remove trash and rubbish from campus daily; cut grass weekly and trim shrubbery as needed.
- Care for plants and shrubs inside and outside the building.
- Move furniture and equipment within the building as directed.
- Adhere to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policies, and state & federal rules & regulations.
- Engage in professional growth & demonstrates professional ethics & leadership.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license required.
- 5 years of relevant work experience required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to provide own transportation required.
