Head Coach Opportunity

We seek a highly skilled and experienced head coach to lead our teams in a comprehensive sports program that aims to cater to the needs and interests of the district and community.

The ideal candidate will have minimum three to five years of coaching experience, possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, and be able to utilize problem-solving skills to resolve issues efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instruct students and manage their behavior effectively.
  • Apply instructional techniques and media to enhance student athletes' abilities in the assigned sport.
  • Manage and supervise athletic activities, contests, and practice sessions to foster individual growth in athletic skills, teamwork, and good sportsmanship.
  • Collaborate with other school staff to plan and implement instructional goals and objectives for student athletes' overall educational development.
  • Establish performance criteria for competition and evaluate students' athletic abilities regularly.
  • Take necessary precautions to protect student athletes, equipment, materials, and facilities.
  • Stay informed of and ensure compliance with all relevant rules.
  • Monitor and enforce student eligibility criteria for extracurricular participation.
  • Work with the Athletic Director to schedule competitions and coordinate arrangements for athletic activities.
  • Develop and coordinate a continuous evaluation of the coaching program and make changes based on findings.
  • Accompany and supervise student athletes during out-of-town trips for athletic competitions.
Requirements:
  • A Coaching Principles Certificate (NFHS or ASEP).
  • A Sports First Aid Health & Safety for Coaches Certificate (ASEP or PREPARE).
  • Completion of coaches' portion of NFHS Sportsmanship Course.
  • Completion of NFHS Concussion course.
  • Completion of NFHS Heat Acclimatization course.
  • Maintenance of an active CPR certification with AED Training each year.
  • Completion of NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest.
