Junior Peace Building Coordinator

This role requires an individual with strong project coordination skills, who is passionate about promoting peace building through emotional resilience among young people.

The Junior Peace Building Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing programmes that focus on building peace through emotional resilience. The role involves working closely with partner organisations to coordinate activities and ensure the successful delivery of projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience in effectively delivering manualised programmes, packs or structured sessions to young people in challenging environments. A full driving license and access to a car are also essential requirements for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement programmes that promote peace building through emotional resilience
  • Coordinate activities with partner organisations to deliver projects successfully
  • Recruit young people through proactive recruitment methods
  • Identify barriers to participation and mitigate against these
  • Ensure planned shared contact programmes involve cross community/cross border participation
  • Coordinate programme activities with other necessary supports
  • Implement programme sessions as per fidelity checklists

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Professional qualification in Social Work, Youth and Community Work, Social Care or related Social Science Discipline
  • Experience in effectively delivering manualised programmes, packs or structured sessions to young people in challenging environments
  • Strong project coordination skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full driving license and access to a car
