Care Practice Manager Job Description

The role of the Care Practice Manager is to develop the clinical and practical expertise of healthcare assistants within an organization. They will have a key role in supporting and managing the performance, practice and functional elements of the Healthcare Assistant role.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have the following qualifications and skills:

  • QQI Level 5 in healthcare or equivalent
  • QQI Level 6 in Supervisory Management
  • At least 2 years of experience working as a Healthcare Assistant
  • Driver's license and own transport
  • Reliability, dedication, diligence and trustworthiness
  • Fluency in English both verbally and written

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct care supervision visits in home care settings
  • Oversight of accurate maintenance of supervision records
  • Participation in care activities as part of the care supervision process
  • Employment of best practice approach in the care of customers
  • Client diary completion by HCAs Care staff
  • Staff introductions
  • Client reviews
  • Monthly Clinical Governance meetings attendance
  • Carer Committee meetings attendance
  • Workplace training
  • Other duties as tasked by your manager
