Food Management Lead

The Role:
  • Oversee the fresh food counter, including seafood, and provide exceptional customer care.
  • Meet operational standards to drive sales growth and profitability while maintaining costs alongside store management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Store Management to deliver top-notch food preparation, merchandising, and customer service.
  • Lead, train, and develop the team to achieve business strategy and customer service goals.
  • Monitor and implement effective HACCP protocols within our fresh food counters to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Develop efficient cleaning schedules and source products from agreed suppliers on a daily basis in a cost-effective manner.
  • Deliver forecasted KPIs for the department, maximising sales through analysis of sales data and customer needs.
  • Ensure products are prepared according to procedures and coach the team to be passionate about sales, product availability, and customer service.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in deli/fresh food management with HACCP training and knowledge of food safety legislation.
  • Experience as a chef or in food production is beneficial.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to multi-task.
  • Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team or individually.
